Top 5 Techniques to Protect Yourself From Spam

It is virtually impossible to avoid having your email address end up on a spammer's mailing list. You can, however, take steps to minimize the amount of spam that you receive.

Here are the Top Five techniques:

Address Munging

Never, ever post your permanent email address publicly online. Posting it on a website, on USENET, or in a guest book, for example, virtually guarantees that it will end up on a spammer's emailing list.

If you absolutely have to supply an address, or regularly participate in online forums but do not want further communication, camouflage your address in some way. You can, for example, disguise your address by writing it in such a way that humans can read it, but the spammers automated programs cannot.

Example: instead of JaneDoe@ISP.com, add a blank space before and after the "@" sign, or use characters e.g. JaneDoe at ISP dot com.

This is reffered to as "address munging". While address munging does not allow for a regular, clickable email link, anyone who really wants to contact you will figure it out the proper address.

If you have a website, provide a feedback form instead of giving your email address.

Sign up for an Alternative Email Addresses

Do not use your primary email address when placing an online order, getting a free download, or want to sign up for a newsletter or free service Get a secondary email address that you can use in these instances. You can open a free email account for this purpose. Email providers such as GMail and yahoo offer this free email service.

Reserve this email address specifically for this online activity - do not offer it to people from whom you want to receive email, as this will likely be lost in the deluge of junk mail.

Also, be sure to log into this account on a regular basis to delete the junk mail and avoid having the account closed. If you get over-spammed, just close this account and open a new one.

Choose an email address that cannot be easily guessed at. One method used by spammers to get email address is to generate a list of likely email addresses based on a combination of first names, last names and commonly used words. They may, for example build an emailing list that has variations of an address like JoelDoe1@hotmail.com, JoelDoe2@hotmail.com etc.

You can foil this spammer's tactic by using a relatively long email address, for example 8 or more characters long. You should also avoid choosing email addresses that include either of your names. Use your initials instead, in combination with numbers, e.g. jtd1509@yahoo.com.

Beware the Phisher Spam

Phishing is a tactic used by spammers to scam you into giving up vital personal and financial information. Its sole purpose is identity theft.

Never divulge any personal or financial information that is requested in an email. Your bank or credit card company would never ask you to confirm or update your personal information via an email or a link in an email. Any such emails should be reported to the bank or credit card company. Never, ever click on any links in this type of spam.

Get a spam filter or spam blocker

Stop the spam dead in its tracks before it ever makes it into your inbox. Well, most of it at least. Though they are not 100% effective, anti-spam software will keep most of it out. Even if you only use the internet a spam filter will help protect you from spam.

I have no friends or contacts that want their own domain

My first impression was the site looks professional and clean, with an attractive look and feel. It is easy to read and understand. Joining the site was easy and painless--they do offer 2 upgrade options but they are not required to gain the benefits.

The Members Area is very well laid out and intuitive--I could figure out what to do after only a few minutes and was able to get up and running in less than 5 minutes. Inside the site, you create links and ads--the links you simply enter any URL links you use into the generator and it transforms them into "Perfect Traffic Storm" links. You create ads for anything you want to promote using the Perfect Traffic Storm Ad Generator, which is very easy to use. You can create as many links and as many ads as you like. And they are organized in a logical way--links are displayed in the order you create them but also your 5 most recent links appear on the main page for quick reference. Also, since the link generator is the tool you'll use most, it is also right at the top of the main page when you login. Very smart!

After you've created at least 1 link and 1 ad you can start to generate traffic. Just use and promote the new Perfect Traffic Storm link instead of the original source link you had. Every time the Perfect Traffic Storm link is clicked, the page loads followed by a cool slide-up ad window at the bottom. It displays an ad PLUS an image with your affiliate link that goes back to Perfect Traffic Storm. I received an email today (see below) offering me RM2,000 for every funds transfer as a Payment Receiving Agent on top of a USD4,000 monthly allowance. Too good to be true ? Or a scamming scheme at work.

The email initiated by them is asking for my personal info, contact as well as banking information. Their website only have one landing pages that is www.global-lcd-stores.com/Lcd.html. If you browse to their domain name URL at www.global-lcd-stores.com, you will hit an error.

Their domain registration history also look very odd. That domain was registered in Oct 26, 2008 and will expired in Nov 26, 2008. A one month valid website even though they claimed to be in business in 1984.

When you are signing up for the payment method(s) you are directed to a secure site of the banking institution. Rest assured your information is safe from hackers.

For each payment method that you sign up for, you must complete the PayMeNow step with the link provided right below the payment method so 6dgr can have the information to direct deposit the money into your account.

1) Make sure you print out or save the account information for each payment method you sign up for so you can have it handy to complete the PayMeNow step.

1. Never, NEVER pay for the chance to work!

This is the cardinal rule. You should treat working at home just like you would treat working for an employer at their place of business.

If you were going for a job interview in the 'real world,' how would you react if the interviewer asked you to pay $50 or $100 to land the job, for starter materials, or for a 'good faith' payment to make sure you were serious about the business?

You'd think it was absurd. No legitimate company charges employees a fee for a job.

Whenever you're asked to pay for the chance at a job, or information about work-from-home jobs, you know it's a scam.

Home-based businesses, on the other hand, may require start-up costs to cover investments, materials, franchises, or other items. As we state in the next step, check things out before you pay anything.

2. Check out the business before you pay anything.

Have you heard of the business that's soliciting your money?

Some warning signs of scammer companies:

- They use free Web hosting services (such as Tripod or Geocities).

- They won't give you a telephone number where you can contact them.

3. Use your credit card to make purchases.

Companies that don't state their names, costs, or other important information in their ads usually have a good reason to do so -- they're scammers. As well, be wary of claims that you can"make up to $1,000 a week" doing just a few hours' worth of unskilled work.

Don't be blinded by greed.

6. Put yourself in the employer's/client's shoes.

If you were an honest employer (or client, if you're looking to work from home), think about whether you would make the same kind of offer you're being pitched.

9. Can I use Auto-Traffic Exchanges to promote

NO! They are not only worthless but you will lose your Qyao membership. Using them hurts the advertisers and they will pull out of Qyao. Do not Use Them!

10. Balance Box: Please give details on the various accounts? which are accessible? How do we increase each account? Are any of these funds under certain conditions??

Main account: You cannot access this until you have been in qyao for over 2 or 3 months or you have many referrals and you are earning over $50 per day. WHEN you are getting this amount + more then you request payment to your "Main account" hence the name. Your request for payment is done through the "statistic" page.

Banner CPM: Is part of your advertising account and is done automatically for you when you first pressed the "START" button on the day you joined. It takes a bit of time to show any upward movement. There has been talk about Qyao banners, so far I have not seen anything official, but there are many unofficial ones that you can download, or you can make it up yourself.

Shopping account: You access this on your "Menu BAR" your shopping account gets credited automatically, on a percentage of the sale amount of the goods that you bought if you were going to use this service.To shop online click on the "Shopping" link on your menu bar. The percentage amount varies and is credited to your earnings.

Search Engine Account: This account is linked to your daily clicks that you should be doing on a daily basis by using your search engine. Where?? You access your search engine by clicking "Main Menu" on your menu bar. You will see 2 buttons:'Start', 'Earn Now' the "start" button should be red and the "Earn now" button should be blue.

To the right of these 2 buttons you will see "Search Engine" Click on this to begin your daily search engine clicks. You are allowed 10 clicks on each of the six search engines listed.

If you do this daily you will be credited and the amount will be shown on your "Search Engine Account"

Referrals Account: As the name suggest you get credited $1 for every referral you bring into qyao. This is done automatically and you can see it change once your referrals sign up under you.

Advertising account: When you first signed up with qyao. You were given a $15 sign on bonus. This money was automatically credited to your advertising account. Now as the days go by you will notice that the amount of money on your advertising account dwindle daily as it is being used to advertise your website. This will continue if there is no action taken.

Very Important: If you are an Elite member request payments daily and top up your advertising account.

Unfortunately if you are a regular member you cannot do this as you are ONLY allowed one request per month.

11. What does a Free member earn compare to an Elite?

An Elite member can request payment to advertising account daily. A regular Member can request payment once per month. Here is the breakdown:

First Month:
Regular Member with one request per month makes approximately $22.50 Elite Member requesting each day makes approximately $37.00

Second Month:
Regular Member with one request per month makes approximately $33.75
Elite Member requesting each day makes approximately $88.80

Third Month:
Regular Member with one request per month makes approximately$50.62 3

Summary - Earn Money in QYAO and FZ

1. Create a QYAO account. Sign up now and receive $15 bonus in your account!

2. You can create as many accounts as you can handle but remember that the FREE membership has a lot of limitations to protect the company from fraudulent activities.

3. You can connect up to 6 QYAO accounts to 1 FZ account. You have to upgrade your QYAO accounts to Elite before you can transfer your funds to your FZ account. The transfer option is not available for FREE members.

4. QYAO account upgrade to Elite membership is only $10/month.
FZ account upgrade to Gold is also $10/month.

5. If you upgrade your QYAO account you will get $50 bonus for every upgrade you make. So if you decide to have 6 QYAO accounts and upgrade them for 3 months, you only need to pay for 5 QYAO accounts and QYAO will give you your 6th account Free Upgrade.

Here are the numbers:
5 QYAO accounts upgrade for 3 months = $27x5 = $135 (this is what you pay if you decide to upgrade 5 accounts for 3 months.)
Your total account bonus = ($50x6x3) = $900

6. Your bonus cannot stay in your QYAO account since this is FZ promotion. When you transfer your QYAO funds to FZ it will receive an additional 50%. So for the example above you will have a total of $1,350 in your FZ account when the transfer is completed. Transfer will take between 24-48 hours and only done on business days from Monday-Friday.

7. Your QYAO accounts will have ZERO balance in them but don't worry. You can grow this slowly when you request for payment daily. You must also request payment on your FZ account daily. These are the advantages of having upgraded accounts. Your account balance grows so much faster compared to FREE memberships. Free members can only request payment once a month, so the account balance grows so slow his way.

8. If you request payment daily (highly recommended) in your FZ account, your revenue is 5.25%. Your account advertising spending is 3% and your profit is 2.25% on a daily basis. On the example above,you can profit $30+ on your first day. This means your account profits $6+ per sponsor (there are 5). As your account balance grows, your 2.25% daily will be fast really soon.

9. There are 2 requirements before you can withdraw your money.

For QYAO accounts :
* your account should be at least 30 days old.
* your earnings for each of the sponsor should be at least $50.

For FZ accounts :
* your account funds that you transferred from QYAO should be at least 30 days old. This will activate your "Withdraw Funds" link. For you to be able to click on the "Withdraw Funds" link, you should have at least $250 in your "Earnings" portion. This means you should have at least $50 per sponsor.

How can you do this if you request payment daily to your main balance?
Request payment daily until you are earning almost $50 per sponsor. Since sponsors calculate advertisements from the 1st day of the month up to the last day the best approach will be to request payment daily from the 1st of the month until the 20th of the month and then don't request payment from the 21st up to the 29th of the month. This will grow your "Earnings" amount. Then click the "Withdraw Funds" link on the 30th of the month. Since the agreement is Net45, you will receive your money 45 days after you click the "Withdraw Funds" button.

10. You have 10 levels in your QYAO account.
* You will earn $1 for every member you refer on your 1st level.
* You will also earn from the activities that they do (more on this when you join).
* You will earn $0.10 for every referral from your 2nd to your 10th level.
* You will also earn from the activities that they do (more on this when you join). * Your residual income from Elite members will continue as long as they are active.

11. Lastly, this is how you should create your 6 QYAO accounts.
* Create your 1st account and then get your referral link for that.
* Create your 2nd account using your own referral link from your 1st account created.
* Do this until you create your 6th account.

Please note that QYAO and FZ are real opportunities. These programs are not get rich quick schemes. If you are not willing to work at least 1-2 hours a day to achieve your goal then these opportunities are not for you.

This means, as a GOLD member :

When signing in into your account in FZ, you will find :

- ACCOUNT PAGE

The account page is the first page you will see when you log into your FZ account. This page shows you your important information and statistics. There are 3 boxes that contains these information :
* The Personal Information,
* The Quick Links
* The Statistics box.

Personal Information Box

In this box, you can update your personal information. I think in the future we will see more use of where we want our personal information to be shown (A good example is on our Main Profile Page just like in QYAO.)

Quick Links Box

In this box you have your referral link, which you must use when you are inviting people to join FZ.

You can also see the "My Referrals" link which you can click to see how many people are on your downline, up to 5 levels deep.

The "Payment Withdrawal Status" link should be connected to your "Withdraw Funds" link. I think that after requesting for a withdrawal, the updated status will be posted on this link.

The next information is your membership type. If you have upgraded your account to Gold Membership you will see it here as well as your membership end date. You have to renew your account on or before the end date indicated so you can continue to have the benefits of being a Gold Member. Gold Members can make daily payment requests. This is similar to the Elite Members of QYAO. This process gives Gold Members the advantage of growing their account balance so much faster than a Free Member.

The last important information here is your Promo Account Status. This will show as "Active" after you transfer funds to your account. Keep it active so your account is advertised continuously. There is no need to turn your account advertisement off.

Statistics Box

In this box you will see the following information:

Balance - This will be your Total Account Balance if you have requested payment and your "Earnings" figure is at zero. If you are a Gold Member you should request for payment daily, so you can grow your Total Account Balance faster.

Earnings - This is your earnings since your last request for payment. FZ statistics updates at 10PM PST.

Spent - This figure is the total funds that have been spent on advertising your account since your promo account status was turned active. In FZ, your earnings is 75% more than your spent funds. Let's say your spent funds on your first day was $1. Your earnings will be $1.75. You profit 75% for every dollar of your spent funds.

Advertisers Table - On this table you will see the 5 FZ sponsors, the corresponding balance that your account has assigned to each sponsor, the earnings that have not been requested yet, and the total spent funds per sponsor. You will notice that FZ evenly distributes your account balance to all 5 sponsors. If the figures are $50 , then I can click the "Withdraw Funds". The "Withdraw Funds" link will be active/clickable as soon as your account funds has reached the 30 day requirement. If your earnings for each sponsor is already at $50 then it's time for you to withdraw your earnings. You will receive your money in 45 days upon withdrawal.

TIP: Upgrade to a Gold Member and request for payment daily. If your earnings is getting close to the minimum payout requirement, request for payment only up to the 20th day of the month. Let your earnings accumulate for 10 days and click your "Withdraw Funds" on the 30th day of the month. Sponsors calculate your advertisements earnings from the 1st day of the month up to the 30th day of the month. Therefore it is best to make your withdrawal request every 30th of the month, as long as you are qualified already. This tip was brought to you by my friend, Marc Dasco & Renata.

Requesting Payments

This process grows your advertising account fund, getting you closer to the minimum withdrawal amount which is $50 for each advertisers.

* Go to the "Statistic" Page and scroll down.
* Look for the 3 advertisers with a "Request Payment" link on their right side.

Click the "Request Payment" link and open it on a new tab (best to use Mozilla Firefox). Log in on the advertiser's log in area using your QYAO's username and password.

On the drop-down menu you only have 2 options :

- Main Account
- Advertising Account.

Choose Advertising Account and check the box next to "I agree with Terms!" and then click the "Request Payment" button. You should see "Requested" on top of the box if your request was successful. Do this process for all the 3 advertisers and then close the 3 tabs.

Refresh your QYAO account page and you should see an increase in your "Total Account Balance".

Please remember that there is no limit of the number of accounts per person. As long as your intentions are good and you can manage your accounts, you can create as many as your heart desires!

One note about making money with QYAOO :

If you are a Free Member you can grow your Account Balance but you cannot make money just by growing your Advertising Account. For you to be able to make money with QYAO you should upgrade to Elite Membership (Contact your sponsor if you have any questions about QYAO). Regular/Free Members can make a lot of money from QYAO by referring people to join and by using the QYAO search engines.

There are so many ways to earn with QYAO that even the seasoned members are still continually learning. I think that is the beauty of this opportunity because members experience growth and learning in QYAO as QYAO itself strives for continuous improvement.

If you are a Free Member, you should see your $15 fund on your AA (Advertising Account). Free member will be earning 1% daily from your AA and Elite member will be earning 3% daily.

Funds in AA can be used for transfer to another Elite AA, for Investments in Units and certain services. Elite referral's reward is automatically deposited in AA each first of the month, $1.00 for each Elite referral at each level

2. PROFILE PAGE

This is where people will know more about you. The better your profile the better the chances of people going to it and checking it out. You have to say something about you in the "About You" section, and you should include the other websites that you promote so the people who visit your profile can check your other websites if they feel like it.

Don't ignore setting up your profile and making it attractive. You want to make your profile 'Popular'...your profile page has its own earning power and the more popular it is, the more revenue you earn.

Popular accounts get more visits and they are getting paid for these visits.

Imagine MySpace or any other Social Network accounts which have thousands and even tens of thousands of friends. They would be getting more money and more offers from Advertisers if they would have option as it is at QYAO.

Change the default setting to "Automatic", click "Save"

When people add you as a friend you don't have to manually approve each and every request.You can also choose which of your personal information you want to share to the public. Just tick the small box on the right side of the info box.

This is also where you upload your photo. I suggest you upload a personal photo so your profile visitors and friends are confident when dealing with you because it makes them feel that you are not hiding behind a profile with a picture of a dog or something.

But if you don't feel comfortable with it you can upload an avatar, picture of your pet or anything else.

Do not upload any inappropriate graphic, because your account will get terminated and in some cases you can get prosecuted.

Now that you have completed your profile and updated your account information, you should activate your "Profile Advertising". You can find this on the Main Menu Page.

4. MAIN MENU

When you are on this page, look for the "Show" link at the right side of the "Extended Menu" portion which is just below the "Account Information" box.

After clicking the "Show" link, the extended menu should be shown (see screenshot). By the way, the option to advertise your profile is only available to Elite Members. This membership will cost you only $10 a month if you decide to upgrade.

When you click on "Profile Advertising", this is what you will see...

You see Ying Yang Club, Xhq6 and 6 Net Ave - these are all QYAO Advertisers. Click the blue "START" link at the right side of each advertiser. Do this for all 3 advertisers. The blue "START" link should turn to a red "STOP" link. Leave it that way . This should now start your profile advertising.

You will learn from Elite Members that they have a faster earning rate. This is the advantage when a member has the option to request for payment on a daily basis at a higher rate ie 3%. Fraudsters will also lose interest in pursuing a QYAO career because of the slower rate of earning as a Free Member. Only serious people will continue this business venture. Many Members ask me why they have to upgrade. They don’t need to upgrade! You can still earn as regular Member as good as Elite or better. You can start earning over $2,000.00 per month after 1 month of intensive referring. It depends on you. I personally referred way over 200 referrals within a few weeks. Now I’m having Inbox full of emails every day. But on the long run it pays off. I’ll show you calculation what you can do as Regular Member.

Focus aggressively on referring (use my Snow Ball referring system). Do nothing else but refer for 1 month. The longer you’ll refer, the more people you’ll refer per day.

SNOW BALL REFERRING SYSTEM :
1. Day – 3 people
2. Day – 5 people
3. Day – 7 people
4. Day – 10 people
5. Day – 15 people
6. Day – 20 people
7. Day – 25 people
Etc.

That would make 85 referrals all together at the first level. But you don’t stop there, keep going 1 month. When you are referring over 20 people per day than you are doing it right.

Don’t get discouraged at the beginning if you can get more than one or two people per day, longer you’ll do it more people you’ll get.

You will probably ask yourself why refer people and you won’t see much of results at the beginning but as I said 1 month and you’ll see a lot of changes. Set your goal on at least 300 referrals at first level (I did more than 200 in a week). When you refer them create blogs and pages where you guide them. You can copy from me what is useful for you and add your personal touch and experience to it! Every Member you refer is potential candidate to become serious. When they visit your profile, your blogs and your sites they increase your popularity. Popular Account has value, the higher the popularity, the higher the value.

There are rumours that QYAO is preparing ranking system which will easy, realistically and automatically evaluate each Account and point out real value of the account. So even the Account which are not earning with Advertising Account might get incredible value depending on how many referrals they have and how many friends they have added.

Now do the simple math. Let’s say you referred 200 active referrals at the first level and you trained them to do the same as you do but they did less than you and they train their referrals etc. You will be getting for first level referrals $200.00 each month and for other 9 levels probably over $2,000.00 per month each month and it doesn’t stop there, longer you have these referrals more earnings are increasing not just from referring part but from other revenues your referrals bring in. You can easy triple the amount I mentioned.

All you need is 1 month of intensive referring! But you do have to refer. It won’t go by itself.

Take a Yuwie for example. They earn there : only a couple of cents per impressions and they are working on it like crazy. Not so much because of money, but because of fun. When you sing in Yuwie, you have to explain to them why QYAO is good. Don’t try to convince them it’s better, because nobody want to hear that something is better than what he/she has. Explain to them that they can promote their Yuwie referral link in QYAO while earning the money. Show them Snow Ball Referring and tell them to spread it through Yuwie.

Do the same with other Social Networks. Do it through classifieds, forums, blogs, groups, etc. Use Press Releases and other announcements. But remember one thing, when you refer people, don’t send it in QYAO network and messaging system. Members in QYAO, are ALREADY in QYAO!!! They don’t need to be referred.

Provide your referrals with sufficient support which is very crucial at the beginning, or you might lose them. :-)
